Tennessee
Our great adventure officially started Fri Nov 30/07 with a stormy winter drive to Tottenham for a visit with Rob and Wendy. 5 am wake up call from Robbie! -8 degrees (feels like -17). We are on our way promptly to stay ahead of the big storm.Uneventful border crossing in Detroit – just a very envious customs guy for all our time off from work. Pleasant long drive through Michigan, Ohio,Illinois, Kentucky with a final destination at a Flying J just north of the Tennessee border. 12 hour driving day. Mostly dry pavement with the exception of ice pellets in Cincinnatti (note to self – want to return here and visit saucy Sue-BGE).Hey – we gained one hour. It was 17.5 degrees at bedtime! After a well deserved rest we’re off to Nashville for a quick drive around – Capitol Square,Country Music Hall of Fame etc. Another place to return to – enjoyed the tail gatters at the LP Stadium in anticipation of the Titans game at noon today.Go Titans go! Just for you Brennan our football enthusiast. On our way to Graceland. Stay tuned … Ps 18 degrees and misty. Linda and Paul
