Jonathan, Second Departure
Travel plans are finally materializing and I will be starting my southerly journey in just a few minutes. I plan to spend the next few days visiting family and friends so the “Mexico” trip doesn’t start for a few more days. The current plan puts me in Cleveland MS. tonight, Woodville MS Wednesday night and then Laredo TX Thursday night or Friday early. If you are travelling my way let’s meet up..
To fill this post up a bit I’ll share a quote from a great travel book that I recently read. The book is Two Years Before The Mast and was written by Richard Henry Dana, Jr.
“We must come down from our heights, and leave our straight paths for the byways and low places of life, if we would learn truths by strong contrasts”
Hopefully we will skip the low places but still pick up some truth along our way.

Already feeling better today and thanks for sending the link to this great site. What an adventure and what a great way to keep track of you. ; ) Glad to hear that sailors and van-goers (is there a better term?) have “voyages” in common.
