More news from La Manzanilla
Thursday the 20th of Dec. What to say… It’s warm and sunny and that… every day, it’s also very humid once in a wile, night’s can vary from warm to hot. Everybody get along fine and that is pretty cool. It’s been a few days already that we enjoy that little place we have on the beach. Ernst & Peter have join us. No news from Ken. Ted & Cory stayed south. Jason is in La Ticla. The days goes by pretty fast even if we mainly do nothing. Today, Hans, Frank, Rene and Jonathan went in Manzanillo to get some Mex bus parts. It’s a very calm area, will it be like that in a few days (Christmas)? We don’t know! we are trying to spend Chrismas where we are right now. The place we rent will be filled with Mexican people (family of Maria who is the owner) and that could be a nice experience. Ernst & Peter came back from the coast (Playa Azul and others small bays) and didn’t like what they saw!! (storms damage, poluted little village, bad road…) So we don’t know where we will end up after Christmas… for sure we will go see Jason in La Ticla but that is far I will go, we may come-back here after to finish our vacation, who knows. Tonight we are all (20 peoples) going to a Belly dancing show with food, our neighbor are the one dancing. Some have a lot of time in Mexico so they will have all winter to look around other city, town or beach’s. Me and Sylvia, we are pushing it to the end of January and won`’t move much, we need the relaxing time and driving in Mexico is NOT relaxing!!! So, we WON’T drive 300km per days (6-8 hours) to see other bays and we have NO time to drive south to see the ruines, that will be for another year. La Manzanilla is nice, the cool thing is we have electricity, water, bathroom, palapas and the beach… so in other words, it’s almost luxury here. For now, we like it like that! With time, i will venture around and see the other small village not to far from here. We see nice free beach and nice bay right from our spot. The Mexican speak some English around here and that help a lot, we do our best in our VERY limited Spanish… but that is NO problem, again, the local here are so nice. We find ways to understand each other. BUT, i will work hard to learn some spanish for the next few years that I WILL come down here.
