Jonathan, Before the Fiesta De Toros, La Manzanilla

Greetings from La Manzanilla.

Yes, after all of this time I still am camped here on the beach. My daily routine has changed a bit and usually includes surfing in the mornings and a nap in the afternoon. Sticking around for the past month has allowed for enough exploration and conversation to start to get to know what life in La Manzanilla is really like.

Ernst, Frank and Rita are still here as well and we are all eagerly awaiting the start of what is rumored to be the biggest party of the year here, the Fiesta De Toros. From what I understand this fiesta will run from tonight through next Wednesday and include lots of dancing, drinking and bull-riding. Every account that I have heard has been a bit different and I look forward to gaining my own.

  4. Hi, we are back in wintery NS. Arrived home on Sunday Feb.3. After our last update we proceded on to Punta Gorda FL where we stayed in a RV Park for one week. The weather was pleasant. A friend of mine resides there for the winter. From there we were going to stay at a SP but no such luck they are all booked out for the winter. At least the ones we inquired at in the centre of FL. This made us decide to go North. Stayed a few nights with friends in VA where we had to wait out an ice storm on Friday Left Saturday morning and had perfect driving weather all the way home. We were greeted on Tuesday afternoon with another boost of winter and more to come. Hope you all enjoy your stay in the warm climate. Hans & Rita
