Nothing to say, 1430km (888 miles), my own record in one single day! I’m just north of New Oleans, but still in Misisipi. Tomorrow, another 1000km. Our plan is to meet Frank in San Antonio TX. The weather was nice today but temp are very cold, colder that i can imagine being down south! about 6C (42F). We have just paid for a 90$ motel just to get good shower, good sleep and Internet connection. NO internet available tonight!!!! room ok but no more. We are pissed off!I have been to San Antonio, so i hope for the best in the next 2 days!

Now temp will rise up so that is good news, 70F + is fine with me.

<><>ps.: I have a small problem with my “Rebuilt” trany but for now, nothing serious.
The reverse gear is “picky”, small grind if i don’t put it in first… first! Stange problem! Daryl from AA transaxle is not exactly sure of what it is… but what a nice guy, he told us that he could put out another tranny in no time if the problem was really serious, so i will check that carefully in Texas. As for the Subi engine, just a marvelous. Sylvia at one point drove over 145kmh…. grrrrrrr… not good on fuel economy. But in average, we do 450km per tank, and our average speed (GPS) is 114kmh. It’s nice to have that extra power in the mountain.
