Back to Zamora

Wednesday morning Rita, Hunter & I packed up the van, inflated the tires after getting off the beach and headed for Zamora-Jacona.  We needed to visit with April & Sal and his family one more time before they all headed back to California on the weekend.  The trip up was great with the weather getting colder as we climbed into the mountains again from our sea side camp in La Manzanilla.  The topes after the end of the auto pista just north of Colima are so numerous my legs were sore from pushing pedals by the time we got into Jacona around 5:30pm.. It was a good 6 ~ 7 hour trip.  Up the mountain passes we were slowed many times by long lines of vehicles behind slow moving trucks with little opportunity to pass.  We felt lucky however as the long strings of cars on the opposite site were horrendous.  As all the Mexicans from the interior were heading for the beach after Christmas.  Invasion of La Manzanilla is certain.  Glad we have our Westy camping spot staked out !  So here I am at Martha’s, Sal’s aunt, house on the her Internet connection while Rita’s off doing laundry.  Jean, we have Laura’s connections for you so don’t be worried.  She was hoping you’d get back to her !  Do we have another wedding brewing ???????  OK, I’m outta here for now.  Back in La Manz Friday after crossing all the topes again – UG !

Adios,

Frank, Rita & Hunter
