At the beach etc
This is the first time we’ve had a connection so we can all update the blog. The wedding was great the ceremony was at 7:00 pm and the reception started at 9:00 drinking dancing and then party was on. The dinner wasn’t served until 12:00 and the the party went on until 3:00. There were 370 Mexicans and about 40 gringos including the ones in the wedding party.
We left the next morning and drove to La Manizzila sp? on the coast, this is where Frank and Rita have rented a villa for a week. We couldn’t find the campground and after asking around we found out that the bridge was washed out and we had to go the long way around the lagoon to get there. Now it’s getting dark and we can’t find the right road, we were on it but there looked like a gate at the end so we didn’t go down it. Again I asked for directions and was told to go through the old deserted hotel and drive up the beach !!? We found the hotel and I promptly got stuck in the sand. We got my van out and Paul got his stuck trying to turn around. We were now in contact with the other group from Zamora and met them back in the town. Hans made arrangements for the six vans to stay in the courtyard of a hotel for the night. After getting set up we went out for a great dinner. Today Ben and Sylvia made a deal to ent a lot on the beach for the next 6 days. It’s unbelievable, right on the beach with toilets and showers. Check out our photo site to see what it looks like. I’m sure Sofie will be writhing more soon.
Well all our plans have changed we’re not going to Belize, it’s 2400K from here and with the Mexican roads the way they are it would take too long and this place is jusk unbelievable. We managed to rent the place we’reĀ at until after Christmas and some of the people are trying to rent it for a few more months. This place is awesome, we wake up and have our coffee watching the ocean. Check out the photos on the associated site I’ll keep uploading photos. Merry Christmas to all, we will not have a white Christmas here unless you count the white of the surf crashing on the beach.
