This Blog houses the ramblings from some of the Volkswagen Vanagon & Eurovan Camper owners that traveled through Mexico over the winter of 2007-2008. The key stop on the trip was Zamora, Zamora de Hildago, Michoacan State, for the wedding of April Alanen-Condelli and Sal Hernadez-Cano. April is the daughter of Frank & Rita, the organizers of this adventure. After the wedding the Zamora travellers had many adventure while in Mexico traveling, camping and enjoying winter in the sun.

You guys are living the dream of roamin’ the open road for many of us watching you here on the blog. I kind of know what you’re going through as I was one of the owner/ participants in the 1999 “Return to the Fatherland” Tour of nine pre-1958 VWs that drove from L.A to NYC, then sent the cars to Europe and then drove from England back to Wolfsburg Germany and then on to the ‘99 Bad Camberg VW event, then all the back home (6,631 miles on my ‘55 Oval Sunroof Beetle). Road trips like yours are a great adventure into the unknown. Ah the good times, hell, even the bad time are times you’ll never forget! Have a safe journey and a great time at the wedding and all around Mexico. Keep up the great posts to the blog so everyone can live it through your experiences!

Help! I need to sell my 2003 Eurovan camper and am having trouble figuring out what it’s worth. Any help out there? It is a westfalia camper with 78 K miles and in good shape. In Florida. Where can I find the community of people who know and love these cars? Please help…..thanks, Peter

It was a great trip, congratulation you know how enjoy life, even a mexican I don’t know all those places. I’m staked at SAn Diego working to provide family needs; I hope one day i can travel. I’m thinking to get a Vanagon and swap a subi on it,your web will help a lot but more details are needed. I hope i may contact you in order to know where to buy all the parts needed and for some tecnical matters, specially that i don’t know if you used the vanagon computer or the subaru computer.
